WEST VALLEY JEWISH FILM SOCIETY

For August, our "Movie of the Month" is the German romantic comedy "Love and Mazel Tov," a.k.a. Schönes Schlamassel (2020).

"To impress Anne, Daniel poses as a Jew. Anne and Daniel become a couple and the little swindle becomes a web of white lies that Daniel can no longer get out of. He can only hope that in the end Anne will love him for who he is."
A clever take on social appropriation and historical guilt, this witty, warmhearted look at modern love from award-winning director Wolfang Murnberger (My Best Enemy) will strike right at the heart.
 

 

Just like any book club, West Valley Jewish Film Society will have a month to watch a selected film, and then on the third Thursday every month, we will get together (whether on Zoom or in person) to review the film and discuss our thoughts on it. You can visit our website here.

 

This month our format will be entirely online!

Please watch Love and Mazel Tov at your convenience, and on August 17th at 7:00pm we will meet on Zoom to discuss the film.
