TEMPLE ALIYAH's WEST VALLEY JEWISH FILM SOCIETY

For May, our "Movie of the Month" will be The Museum (2017).

This is a documentary puzzle, simultaneously intriguing and amusing, which attempts to define the unique essence of the Israel Museum, Israel's most important cultural institution within the exceptional geographical, historical and political context in which it functions. With a trenchant, ironic eye the film follows the visitors, observed the observers, listens to the speakers and descends to the storerooms, labs and conference rooms.

Just like any book club, Temple Aliyah's West Valley Jewish Film Society will have a month to watch a selected film, and then on the third Thursday every month, we will get together (whether on Zoom or in person) to review the film and discuss our thoughts on it. You can visit our website here.

This month our format will be entirely online!

Please watch The Museum at your convenience, and on May 18th at 7:00pm we will meet on Zoom to discuss the documentary with a special Q & A session with Cynthia Hizami & Myra Chack Fleisher of the Jewish National Fund (JNF).
