For April, our "Movie of the Month" will be the documentary They Ain't Ready for Me (2020).
This full-length documentary tells the story of Tamar Manasseh, the black rabbinical student who leads the fight against gun violence on the south side of Chicago. The film explores the challenges and motivations of this fearless community leader as she works to prevent more people from being killed by gun violence.

Just like any book club, West Valley Jewish Film Society will have a month to watch a selected film, and then on the third Thursday every month (with exception to APRIL 2024), we will get together (whether on Zoom or in person) to review the film and discuss our thoughts on it. You can visit our website here.
This month our format will be entirely online!
Please watch They Ain't Ready for Me at your convenience, and on April 16th at 7:00pm we will meet on Zoom to discuss the film.
