WEST VALLEY JEWISH FILM SOCIETY

For February, our "Movie of the Month" is the documentary "Hollywoodism: Jews, Movies, and the American Dream" (1998).

"How Jewish producers helped transform the movie industry, with profiles of Louis B. Mayer, Carl Laemmle, Harry Warner, Sam Goldwyn, William Fox, Adolph Zukor and others."

Based on Neal Gabler's best-selling book, An Empire of Their Own, this feature-length documentary tells the story of the Jewish men who founded Hollywood.

Just like any book club, West Valley Jewish Film Society will have a month to watch a selected film, and then on the third Thursday every month, we will get together (whether on Zoom or in person) to review the film and discuss our thoughts on it. You can visit our website here.

This month our format will be entirely online!

Please watch Hollywoodism:Jews, Movies, and the American Dream at your convenience, and on February 15th at 7:00pm we will meet on Zoom to discuss the film.
