Zamru Shabbat Service & Dinner

Friday, June 7, 2024 1 Sivan 5784

6:00 PM - 9:00 PMSOUTH CAMPUS: 6025 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills

From Cantor Jenni Asher:

Some of you may know that my Jewish Music Masters Thesis is on Circle Songs and their potential use within liturgy. Circle Songs -- as Bobby McFerrin coined the term -- are not just songs that repeat or are in a round, but they are of an improvisational nature and they are not fixed, they evolve.

My friend and mentor Roger Treece is joining me in leading an acapella Zamru Shabbat service on June 7. Roger is an incredible music theorist, improviser, and composer. Please join me for this special Zamru Shabbat Service and Dinner (RSVP below for the dinner).  And if you want to be in the inner circle of singers (meshorerim), please email me at jasher@hamakomla.org.
