To kick off Hamakom's "Lech Lecha, A Year of Jewish Journeys," we'll travel back in time for a cultural history of four generations of Jews in America, from 1880 to the present, told via the culinary history of the Jewish delicatessen.
Seth Front, Hamakom's Creative Director, is the creator of Jewish Zodiac and has shared this comic program with over 250 synagogues, JCCs, Sisterhoods and Men's Clubs nationwide. Here is what people have said about Seth's program:

5:00 pm Deli Dinner
A delicious kosher dinner featuring all of your Jewish deli favorites: pastrami, corned beef, turkey and salami; potato knishes, cole slaw, cucumber salad, chopped liver, pickles, black & white cookies...and more.
6:00 pm UCLA Klezmer Ensemble
The UCLA Klezmer Ensemble sets the mood with a musical journey to our Eastern European roots, performing a set of klezmer classics and contemporary pieces sure to get your hands clapping and feet tapping.
6:20 pm A Culinary History of Jews in America based on the Astrological Signs of the Delicatessen
A humorous and inspirational multimedia history of the delicatessen across four generations of Jews in America, presented by comedian Seth Front, creator of the Jewish Zodiac, a deli food parody of the Chinese zodiac. Discover the real stories behind your favorite deli foods and how they intertwine with our Jewish American journey.
