Taught by Barry Cohn and Brad Weber
This class will introduce a transformative approach to refining our character traits, enabling us to serve others with ever-increasing joy and purpose. Our focus on Middot (character traits) goes beyond self-improvement; it is about embracing the responsibility to uplift and care for others.
Central to our journey is the practice of Kibbush, which literally means "capture"—a foundational aspect of Mussar that teaches self-restraint. As we delve into this practice, we will ask ourselves: What prevents us from fully awakening to the needs of others, even when our hearts long to do so?
In this foundational class, we will study Middot such as Seder (order) and Savlanut (patience), exploring how to discern when our energy is in a state of Ra (negativity) rather than Tov (goodness). We will also engage in daily practices designed to transform our energy toward Tov, empowering us to better serve those around us.
Join us for this enriching experience as we cultivate our souls and deepen our commitment to others through the wisdom of Mussar.
